Graduation Ceremony on May 14, 2025

Flandreau Indian School in South Dakota held its graduation ceremony on May 14, 2025. This year's commencement speaker was South Dakota State University President Barry Dunn, Ph.D. Dunn is an enrolled member of the Sicangu Lakota tribe from the Rosebud Indian reservation in South Dakota. 

Senior Akira (Shoshone Bannock Tribe) was the valedictorian, and Genio (Oglala Sioux Tribe) was the salutatorian. Akira also received a Regents Scholar Diploma from the South Dakota Board of Regents for being in the top one percent of seniors in South Dakota. Regents Scholars are also given automatic acceptance into the six public colleges and universities in South Dakota.
