Dining Room Guidelines

To ensure a respectful and safe dining environment, the following guidelines must be observed:

  1. Nutritional Standards: Meals follow the USDA dietary guidelines, reflecting sound menu planning.
  2. Mealtimes: Serving lines remain open for one hour per meal unless otherwise noted.
  3. Dining Room Conduct: All students must be respectful. No student can deny access to the dining room or prevent others from finishing their meal. Students involved in any disturbances will face disciplinary actions and may be required to clean the dining room.
  4. Cleanliness: Students are responsible for cleaning up after themselves when leaving the table. They will properly dispose of the garbage and neatly stack the plates, glasses and silverware on the dish room counter. No dishes, silverware or glasses should be thrown in the garbage cans.
  5. Nutritional Education: Educational displays, posters and materials about healthy eating habits are regularly provided by the food service staff.
  6. Dress Code: Students must wear shoes and shirts in the dining room. Pajamas and slippers are not permitted.
  7. Rules Adherence: All posted dining room rules must always be followed.

Special Dietary Needs

If you have specific dietary needs due to medical conditions, the cafeteria staff will do their best to accommodate you as long as your doctor prescribes them. Please notify the food service team so they can make the necessary arrangements.

Work-Study Program

Students interested in gaining work experience while earning money can apply for work-study positions in our food services department. Positions are available in the kitchen and dining room, allowing students to work up to 10 hours per week. Students start at $2.50 per hour and receive a raise of $0.25 per hour for each additional semester of work after completing one semester.
