Location

The student canteen is on the upper level of the Home Living Building  located on the East side of the campus behind the Auditorium. The Student Canteen at Flandreau Indian School is the meeting place for students after school, evenings and weekends. Students may buy candy, pop, gum, chips, pizzas, sandwiches, etc.

Other things available for student use are: Large screen television, dance area, pool tables, table games, card tables and dances on Friday nights.

Rules

The canteen may be closed at any time by the Canteen Manager when the students do not adhere to reasonable standards of behavior. The canteen is staffed by one full time manager with help from the Recreation staff. Flandreau Indian School students are allowed the opportunity to apply for the various jobs available in the Canteen and are paid according to the guidelines of the Work Study Program. 

Activity Card

Only on rare occasions can a student get into the Canteen without an Activity Card. So to use this facility, students MUST present their Activity Card to the employee stationed at the entrance. No card--No entry. 

The Student Canteen will be open:

Monday thru Thursday: 4:15-5:00 PM & 6:30-9:00 PM
 

Friday: 4:15-5:00 PM & 7:00-10:45 PM
 

Saturday: 1:00-5:00 PM & 6:30-10:45 PM
 

Sunday: 1:00-5:00 PM & 6:30-9:00 PM
